In Week 8, St. Croix Central completely controlled Smith and the Blackhawks, limiting the B-W quarterback to 140 total yards in the 54-21 beating. After missing the Level 1 win over Ellsworth, Smith returned to play with a vengeance against the Panthers. Baldwin-Woodville jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter only to see the Panthers score the next 22 to retake the lead in the second period. Smith quickly put B-W back on top with a 69 yard pass to Graiden Moniken and the Blackhawks were on their way to an epic 46-29 upset win. Smith finished with 355 yards of total offense and accounted for 5 touchdowns. Now on to Level 3 against Middle Border rival Somerset.
