| Spring Valley fans summoned their inner Bonnie
Tyler last Friday and Wyatt Goveronski answered their wishes. Subbing in for
senior starter Connor Ducklow at quarterback, the sophomore filled the "I need a
hero" role at the perfect time. At a school known for its dynamic running QBs,
Goveronski threw for 242 yards and 3 TDs to bring the Cardinals from behind late
in the fourth quarter in their 27-21 Level 2 win over Pepin/Alma. The Dunn-St.
Croix champs have little time to savor the victory though as they now prepare
for the number one rated Regis Ramblers in a Level 3 match up at Carson Park.
Spring Valley is a heavy underdog but who knows where the next hero might come
from. |
