TD Runs :: 56yds & 24yds
Game Result: Pepin / Alma 35, Coleman 7 |
In Level 3, Pepin/Alma had to stop a two point
conversion to win 21-20 over Spring Valley but no such defensive heroics were
needed at Level 4. Running back Trevor Heit opened the first quarter scoring
with a 56 yard gallop and the Eagles never looked back in their 35-7 win over
Coleman. For the game, Heit rumbled for 233 yards on 20 carries and 2 TDs and
also returned 2 kickoffs for 107 yards. Heit now has 4690 yards rushing in his
career at P/A and has 75 TDs rushing as well. Without all the first half
blowouts that the Eagles have commanded during the past three seasons, Heit most
certainly would have been approaching incredible rushing and TD numbers. P/A is
not without other weapons, Lance Johnson and Caiden Haake each scored in the
Coleman win and QB Logan Carroll has been solid all year. While most of the
attention has been on the offense, Randall Engstrand has anchored a defense that
has been extremely difficult to run against. Last year's finals loss is still in
the minds of this team and nothing less than a gold ball will make this season
complete. |
