Game Result: Stanley - Boyd 28, Bloomer 3 |
Dustin Spaeth cut to the middle of the field and
took a perfect pass from Tyler Sorensen and streaked 52 yards to the end zone.
One perfect play, one perfect moment and the continuation of one perfect season.
After Bloomer had driven deep into Stanley-Boyd territory on their opening
drive, the Oriole defense stiffened and forced the Blackhawks to settle for a
field goal and a 3 point lead. Time for Spaeth to work his magic with Sorensen
and give Stanley-Boyd a lead it would not surrender. Spaeth picked off a
Blackhawk pass deep in Stanley-Boyd territory to end another second quarter
drive and give the Orioles more confidence that this would be their night. After
building a 21-3 halftime lead, Spaeth again stepped up big, this time picking
off another Blackhawk pass on Bloomer's first drive and returning it for the
touchdown that yielded the final score of the game. Spaeth and his Oriole
teammates now are one step away from a trip to Madison as they take on defending
D5 champion Amherst in Level 4. |
